Dispute resolution

We deal with domestic and international commercial litigation arising out of amongst others things commercial contracts, corporate/shareholder disputes, banking, insurance and international trade. Mediation

Mediation is another form of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mediation is the process in which a neutral third party (the mediator) facilitates the parties in resolving a dispute. The mediator works with the parties and helps them reach an agreement. If an agreement is made this will be reached by the parties and not the mediator. Mediation is a voluntary process, this means that the mediation can be stopped at any time and the parties will decide whether they want the mediation to continue. Mediation is private and confidential so anything that is said in the mediation cannot be relied upon outside of the mediation, this is so that the parties are open and honest in order to make the mediation work. Unlike litigation mediation is informal, private and confidential, quicker, cheaper and if an agreement is reached it is not binding (not final).
